Custom Sandstone Temple with 10 × 10 Ft Garbhagriha and 9-Jali Design

At Natural Stone Industries, we manufacture custom sandstone temples for homes, farmhouses, private estates, gardens, community spaces, and temple projects. The temple design shown on this page measures approximately 10 × 18 × 23 Ft (Width × Length × Height) and includes a spacious 10 × 10 Ft Garbhagriha.

This design is made from natural Bansi Paharpur pink and whitish-pink sandstone. It follows traditional Nagara style temple architecture and includes carved sandstone pillars, jali panels, a mandap, shikhara, and other architectural stone elements. The size, layout, and carving details can be changed according to the project.

The individual stone components are prepared and carved at our workshop in Dausa, Rajasthan. After cutting, carving, and checking, the components can be prepared for transportation and assembly at the project site.

1. Bansi Paharpur Sandstone for Temple Construction

For this type of temple, we use Bansi Paharpur Sandstone, which is available in natural pink and whitish-pink tones. The colour and texture of natural sandstone can vary from one block to another, which gives each completed temple its own natural appearance.

Stone selection can be discussed according to the temple design, carving requirements, preferred colour, and intended location. Other suitable sandstone shades may also be considered for customized projects.

2. 10 × 10 Ft Garbhagriha and 9-Jali Layout

The main feature of this temple design is the 10 × 10 Ft Garbhagriha. The sanctum includes a total of 9 carved jali panels, arranged across three sides.

  • Right Side: 3 carved sandstone jali panels.
  • Left Side: 3 carved sandstone jali panels.
  • Rear Wall: 3 carved sandstone jali panels.
  • Upper Decorative Panels: Matching stone panels can be incorporated above the jali sections according to the design.
  • Front Entrance: The front side opens towards the mandap and main temple entrance.

The jali pattern, panel size, and carving design can be changed according to the overall temple layout. You can also explore other sandstone lattice designs in our

The upper portion of the temple follows traditional Nagara style elements and includes a carved shikhara along with decorative stone work. Depending on the final design, additional elements such as toran details, balustrades, carved panels, and other architectural features can be incorporated.

The final arrangement is prepared according to the selected temple design and the available space at the project site. More architectural stone components can be explored in our

5. How We Make the Sandstone Temple

A large sandstone temple is made from many individual stone components rather than one single structure. Each component has to be measured, cut, carved, and checked before it is prepared for transportation.

  • Design Planning: We review the required dimensions, site space, temple layout, and carving requirements.
  • Stone Selection: Suitable sandstone blocks are selected according to the required size, colour, and carving work.
  • Stone Cutting: Blocks are cut into the required components for walls, pillars, jali sections, flooring, and other architectural elements.
  • Carving: Jali panels, pillars, decorative panels and traditional motifs are carved according to the selected design.
  • Checking and Fitting: Stone components are checked for dimensions and fitting before dispatch. Where required, components can be checked or trial-fitted as part of the project process.
  • Transportation: The finished stone components are packed and arranged for transportation to the project location.
