1. Bansi Paharpur Sandstone
For this type of temple, we commonly work with Bansi Paharpur Sandstone. It is known for its natural pink, whitish-pink, and beige shades and is widely used for carved architectural work.
The final appearance of the stone can vary naturally from one block to another. Depending on the project, we can also discuss other sandstone options such as red or beige sandstone. Stone selection is made according to the design, required finish, and customer’s preference.

3. How We Make the Sandstone Temple
A large sandstone temple is not made as one single piece. The structure is divided into different stone components so that each part can be cut, carved, checked, and transported more easily.
- Planning:
We first discuss the available site area, temple size, layout, and design requirements with the customer. - Stone Selection:
Suitable natural sandstone blocks are selected according to the required size and carving work. - Cutting:
The stone blocks are cut into the required sizes for pillars, walls, flooring, roof sections, and other components. - Carving:
Decorative work such as floral patterns, pillars, jali, and other traditional details is completed by our craftsmen using a combination of stone-cutting and hand-finishing work. - Fitting and Checking:
Individual components are checked for dimensions and fitting before dispatch. This helps reduce problems during installation at the customer’s site. - Dispatch:
After checking and packing, the stone components are prepared for transportation. Installation guidance or support can be discussed depending on the project location.
